My Erev Yom Kippur

Viduy (confession), Rabbi Soloveitchik
explains,
is a balanced accounting of your past year; both your
accomplishments and shortfalls. I'll begin with this
year's achievements.
1. New Courses- AP Studio Art, AP
Environmental Science, AP Calculus BC, Videography,
Web Design,
Business, Applied Math
2. New Cocurriculars-
Environmental

3. More Modest Trips- Due to the economy &
rising cost of exotic trips
4. Addressing School Growth- Increased
guidance, more administrators, planning for space
challenges
5. Night Seder- our optional chavruta
replacement for the frontal, compulsory
mishmar better accomplishes our goals
6. Sharpening the Focus of Our Alumni
Services- Our greatest asset

Transition- Melissa Pereira's new role

etc.

In the next Highlites (which will appear on Friday,
October 31), I'll outline areas for improvement for
WYHS in the coming year.
Please forgive me for anything I might have done to
offend you this past year. I truly value
your choosing WYHS to inspire and challenge your
teenagers.
